Viral illness

The silence was incredible, but there was too much noise inside my head.

I'd asked the boss to let me work at home today - it had gotten to the point whereby I'd come this close to losing my temper with certain people I've had to work with. You know things are bad when cynicism loses its appeal.

It's amazing - I didn't notice the profound lack of sound until about three-thirty, four in the afternoon, when it finally occurred to me that I haven't heard any music all day. Then, my mindlessness got the better of me around four something when I received what I suspected was a virus. Curious nonetheless, I meant to view it in something like Notepad, except I double-clicked the damn thing out of sheer habit. Two hours of comprehensive virus scanning to weed it out and to make sure it was well weeded out, whee.

~~~~~
I seem to succumb to coughing fits lately, which tend to be followed by a good hour or so of nausea. 'Tis not much fun.
